As a child in Louisville, he would pass “that place up on the hill” near Saint Agnes Church with his grandparents. Years later, while living in Illinois, a priest mentioned Bellarmine to him by name. Even then, he realized its reputation was beyond Louisville.

This outright and unrestricted gift from a member of Bellarmine’s Class of 1955 was given to his alma mater in his will.

A $3.6 million gift from the estate of Dr. Allan and Donna Lansing to Bellarmine University brings the family’s lifetime giving total to more than $10 million, making the Lansings the largest donors in the university’s history.
